Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the country already considers itself a "de facto European Union member," during his video address to the Luxembourg parliament on Thursday.
The Ukrainian president emphasized that Kiev already meets European criteria, urging the Luxembourg parliament to support the country's accelerated path to the EU membership in June.
In his video address, Zelensky demanded that the Union provides Ukraine with more "modern" weapons while also insisting that the bloc increases pressure against Russia "to stop the catastrophe and prevent further aggression."
