United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated on Friday that Chinese military drills, which the country conducts as a reaction to United States House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's trip to Taiwan, are "flagrantly provocative."

Blinken, who is currently in Asia, spoke at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Cambodia, where he remarked that China wanted to intimidate all neighboring countries, not just the self-ruling island of Taiwan.

Earlier today, Pelosi also commented on her visit to Taiwan, saying that China must not be allowed to isolate the island by preventing US officials from visiting.
