The Ukrainian armed forces shelled the city of Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhia region using cluster munitions, Russian media reported on Tuesday, citing the region's operational services.
"At 17:15 [local time], militants of the Nazi Kiev regime fired on the city of Tokmak. According to preliminary information, the enemy used cluster munitions. Hits were recorded near a poultry farm and at the exit of the city towards Vasilyevka. Information about the destruction and victims is being specified," the operational services were cited as saying.
Earlier this week, the United States agreed to provide Ukraine with cluster munitions, saying it was a "difficult" but necessary decision since the Ukrainian forces were "running out of ammunition."
