Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba told his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto that there is no possibility peace negotiations will be taken under consideration by Kiev if they are based on Russia's perspective.
Posting on X after having a meeting on Wednesday, Kuleba stressed that the recent assault on the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital shows that pleasing Putin is of no use, as he insists on pursuing war. "We must jointly make him accept just and lasting peace," he added. Moreover, both leaders discussed the "situation on the frontline as well as the preparations for the second Peace summit."
Shortly after it assumed its presidency of the European Union Council, Hungary has stepped up its approaches to those directly involved in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, as well as to other nations it considers key mediators, arousing discontent in the bloc.
