Ukrainian Kalush Orchestra with their folk-rap song "Stefania" have beaten United Kingdom's Sam Ryder by a landslide to become the champions of the Eurovision 2022 song contest.

After their initial performance, Kalush Orchestra made a passionate plea for the release of people still trapped in the Mariupol Azovstal steel plant.

"Thank you so much. Thank you for supporting Ukraine. This victory is for every Ukrainian. Slava Ukraini (Glory to Ukraine)", said the group's rapper Oleh Psiuk upon the winner proclamation.
