General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine revealed on Thursday that all Russian forces have left the town of Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson region.
Shortly thereafter, Vladimir Saldo, the leader of the local Russian-allied administration, rejected the allegations, noting that Ukraine's announcement of its President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to the region has had a "weak PR effect" and that Kiev needs "more virtual wins."
The Ukrainian military also claimed that Russian troops are "searching for citizens with a pro-Ukrainian position" in settlements in areas in Kherson they still control. The Russian forces carried out two airstrikes and two missile strikes, as well as 18 rocket system attacks over the past day, according to Kiev.
