Ukrainian drones attack oil refinery in Russia's Volgograd region

Russian forces repelled an attack on an oil refinery by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Kumylzhensky district of the Volgograd region, according to Andrey Bocharov, the governor of the region.

"Tonight, February 8, the air defense systems of the Russian Defense Ministry on duty in the Volgograd Region repelled a UAV attack on an oil refinery in the Kumylzhensky District," Bocharov wrote on Telegram, adding that there have been no reports of fires due to falling drone debris.

Russian air defenses downed 31 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.Of the 31 drones, 16 were intercepted in the region of Voronezh, nine were destroyed in the region of Belgorod, five in the region of Rostov and one drone was shot down in the region of Kursk.
