Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said on Friday that it is once again safe to be in the Dublin city center following yesterday's riots prompted by a stabbing attack.
"Our advice is that it is safe to come into the city. The riots that occurred last night only occurred in a relatively small part of it, thankfully, and were contained within hours," Varadkar stated during a press conference and added that the people involved in the violent riots "brought shame on Dublin, brought shame on Ireland and brought shame on their families and themselves."
Earlier, police arrested 34 people involved in the riots that included raiding of several shops and setting vehicles on fire. The unrest ensued after a stabbing attack in which five people, out of whom three children, were injured.
