Venezuela confirmed on Saturday it reached an agreement with the United States to restart repatriation flights for Venezuelan migrants.
According to a statement by National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez, flights will resume Sunday amid rising tensions between both countries over recent deportation operations.
"Migration isn't a crime, and we won't rest until everyone who wants to return is back," Rodriguez said. The deal follows a diplomatic rift after the US deported hundreds of Venezuelans to El Salvador, claiming they were linked to the Tren de Aragua gang.
