European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen arrived in Kiev on Saturday to speak with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Shortly after, she stated the two intend to discuss Ukraine's path toward joining the Union.
"I will take stock of the joint work needed for reconstruction and of the progress made by Ukraine on its European path," said Von der Leyen. "Europe is with you," she added.
The move marks her second Ukraine trip since Russia launched its military operation in the country on February 24.
