White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre remarked on Wednesday that the administration is "still working on" the level of United States President Joe Biden's involvement in the upcoming Democratic National Convention (DNC), which is expected to see the official naming of Vice President Kamala Harris as the party's nominee in the 2024 election.

Speaking at a press conference, Jean-Pierre reaffirmed that Harris enjoys Biden's support both privately and publicly. She added that the two are in everyday contact.

Furthermore, Jean-Pierre stressed that the evidence of Biden's support is his decision to step down from the presidential race as he judged it the best decision for the party and the country.
