United States President Donald Trump supports all of Israel's recent actions in the Gaza Strip after resuming the fighting against Hamas, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters on Thursday.
"This situation is completely a fault of Hamas" as it decided to "play games" and not to release all the hostages, Leavitt said. Trump "fully supports Israel and the IDF [Israel Defense Forces] and the actions that they've taken in recent days," she stressed.
Earlier in the week, Israel resumed the war against Hamas, breaking the fragile ceasefire, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisting that "from now on, negotiations will be conducted only under fire."
