China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi stressed on Tuesday that during his meeting with a delegation of executives from the United States, he mentioned the importance of both countries "working in the same direction" to enhance "stabilization, improvement and progress of bilateral relations."
The Chinese diplomat mentioned that the US perspective of seeing China "as the most important strategic competitor and the most important geopolitical challenge," has become "the crux of China-US relations," causing problems in the relationship between the two parties.
A delegation of US executives, including Pfizer's CEO Albert Bourla and FedEx's Raj Subramaniam have been meeting in China with government leaders this week.
