Chinese Central Foreign Affairs Commission Office Director Wang Yi claimed that his country has managed to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
"China has successfully emerged from the pandemic stage and is ready to fully resume contacts with Europe and the world," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on its website in the aftermath of Wang's meeting with European Union Foreign Affairs and Security Policy High Representative Josep Borrell during the Munich Security Conference.
Earlier this month, China's Politburo Standing Committee announced the country has achieved a "major and decisive victory" against COVID-19 with its virus-targeted measures.
