Chinese President Xi Jinping stated on Friday that Beijing is ready to establish close cooperation with Vietnam to promote international justice and progress, according to Xinhua News Agency.
Xi met with a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee Luong Cuong in Beijing and spoke positively of his country's ties with Vietnam. According to Xi, the neighboring countries' shared socialist systems remain the "most solid political foundation" for the future development of neighborly relations.
The president further stated that Beijing considers Vietnam to be a diplomatic priority among its neighbors, Xinhua reported.
