YouTube announced on Friday that its ban on Russian state-funded media channels will be expanded from Europe only to the entire world.
"Our Community Guidelines prohibit content denying, minimizing or trivializing well-documented violent events. We are now removing content about Russia's invasion in Ukraine that violates this policy... This change is effective immediately, and we expect our systems to take time to ramp up," the video platform said on Twitter.
YouTube confirmed again that all monetization options have been removed for Russian users.
