Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a Telegram post remembered Lithuanian filmmaker and anthropologist, Mantas Kvedaravicius, who was killed in April during the siege of Mariupol.
"It is important to tell the truth," said Zelensky. "It's important to support art that is for life, not that's for those who want to destroy that life."
The late director's documentary was completed by his fiance, Hanna Bilbrova, and it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
