Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky advocated on Wednesday for Ukraine's accession to NATO, arguing that it will be a "powerful signal to the world that this is an alliance that protects." In a speech before the Ukrainian national assembly, he said that NATO allies must "stop looking back at the Kremlin when making their important decisions," calling Russian President Vladimir Putin an "incompetent leader."
Zelensky also said that Ukraine will never accept any solutions to the war that lead to a "frozen conflict." He insisted that his peace formula will result in a fair peace. "Any frozen conflict is a war. A war that will certainly flare up, and the only question is when," he said.
