Zelensky: Ukraine helped West find itself again

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky remarked on Wednesday in his speech before the Verkhovna Rada that his country helped the West "find itself again, return to the global arena," and "prevail" in that.

"No one in the West is afraid of Russia anymore and will never be afraid of Russia," he stressed. Zelensky noted that thanks to Ukraine, the European Union decided to, as he described it, play as one strong team, not several, to fight for victory. "It was Ukraine that united the European Union," he stated.

Commenting on Russia, he added that "everything that Russia tried to do against Europe did not work. Every Russian step was a mistake. [...] Most countries of the world are no longer interested in whether Russia will hear them. [...] Now the world is really interested in [...] what else Ukraine can give to Europe and the world."
