Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Friday that Kiev refuses to recognize United States-provided military aid as loans.

"We are grateful for the support, but this [the US military aid] is not a loan, and we will not allow it," the leader underscored while discussing the new draft of the minerals deal Washington proposed. He revealed the latest version of the agreement is "completely different from the previous framework document" shared during earlier stages of negotiation.

However, Zelensky stressed the importance of reviewing the draft thoroughly, noting that his legal team must now analyze and compare the latest document with all prior agreements proposed throughout the talks.
