Second seed Alexander Zverev became the first men's semi-finalist at the 2025 Australian Open after beating twelfth-seeded American Tommy Paul in four sets.
The match started off as a tight contest as the German won the first two sets in tie-breaks and Paul took the third 6-2. However, the fourth set was smooth sailing for the second seed as Zverev made an early break and went on to take the set 6-1, ending the match with the final score 7-6 7-6 2-6 6-1.
Zverev will face the winner of the match between third seed Carlos Alcaraz and seventh seed Novak Djokovic in the semi-final.
