American boxer Marvelous Marvin Hagler dies at 66

American former professional boxer and film actor Marvelous Marvin Hagler died at the age of 66, his spouse Kay Guarrera revealed in a post published on Saturday.

"I am sorry to make a very sad announcement. Today unfortunately my beloved husband Marvelous Marvin passed away unexpectedly at his home here in New Hampshire. Our family requests that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. With love, Kay G. Hagler," the post stated.

Hagler competed in boxing from 1973 to 1987, reigning as undisputed middleweight champion for seven years before he retired. He holds multiple records to date, including the highest knockout percentage of all undisputed middleweight champions and the third-longest unified championship reign in boxing history.
