Alibaba allegedly working on ChatGPT-like system

Alibaba Group Holding Limited is developing an artificial intelligence (AI) dialogue robot similar to OpenAI's ChatGPT, Securities Times reported on Wednesday, citing sources from the company.

According to the sources, the application is currently going through internal testing. They added the company is considering incorporating AI technology with productivity tools used in Alibaba's communication application DingTalk.

The report came shortly after it was said China's Baidu Inc. is also working on a ChatGPT-like program. Previously, Alphabet Inc.'s Google presented its response to ChatGPT, Bard, while Microsoft Corporation said it will use OpenAI's technology to develop improved versions of its search engine Bing and its web browser Edge.
