Barr: Trump didn't commit obstruction of justice offense

EPA / PETE MAROVICH

United States Attorney General William Barr stated on Thursday that Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report confirmed that the country's President Donald Trump didn't commit the obstruction of justice offense. The official noted that he and the Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein accepted the special counsel's framework to assess the possible obstruction of justice. However, Barr stressed that Rosenstein had some disagreements with Mueller's theories.

The special counsel examined ten episodes involving the US president in order to determine whether Trump obstructed justice.

Barr also highlighted that the White House cooperated with Mueller's investigation in full, providing all the necessary documents and access despite Trump being "frustrated" over the whole probe.
