United States President Joe Biden said on Monday, in response to the correspondent's question on whether Washington supports the "hostages-for-ceasefire deal," that a potential armistice between Israel and Hamas can be considered once the hostages are freed.
Earlier this evening, Hamas announced the release of two more civilian hostages through Egyptian-Qatari mediation. However, according to sources who spoke to The Wall Street Journal, talks over the possible release of fifty more people who are among those held in captivity in the Gaza Strip are at a standstill, even though they have reached an "advanced stage," due to Hamas' demands that Israel allow the delivery of fuel to the Palestinian enclave, which Israel has not yet authorized.
