Biden endorses VP Harris as Democratic nominee

United States President Joe Biden decided on Sunday to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee in the 2024 presidential elections.

"My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year," Biden wrote on X, minutes after announcing that he would not be seeking reelection.

He called on the Democratic Party to come together and beat the Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump. He further told his supporters to donate to her campaign.
