United States President Joe Biden announced on Wednesday he signed the national security bill, featuring aid for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, and an order to TikTok to change ownership from the Chinese ByteDance Ltd. or face a ban in the country, into law.
As Biden stressed at a press conference at the White House, the package is "vital" for the US's allies as they fight Russia, Hamas, and the suspected threats from China, respectively. The president said that the deliveries of aid to Ukraine will start within hours.
"It's a good day for America, it's a good day for Europe, it's a good day for world peace," he insisted. Furthermore, Biden expressed his belief that border security should have been included in the bill.
