An explosion erupted at the headquarters of TUSAS, a Turkish aerospace firm located in Ankara, Anadolu Agency reported on Wednesday. Shortly after the blast, there were accounts of gunshots being heard in the vicinity.
"A terrorist attack was carried out against the Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAS) Ankara Kahramankazan facilities. Unfortunately, we have martyrs and injured people after the attack," Turkish Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya confirmed on X.
The cause of the explosion and the subsequent gunfire have not yet been determined. According to Anadolu, emergency response teams were sent to the location.
