Blinken to travel to Israel today

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken will be flying to Israel today, the State Department shared in an announcement on Monday, confirming previous reports about his travel plans.

During his trip to the Middle East, where he will visit various countries besides Israel, Blinken is expected to discuss the "importance of ending the Gaza war and securing the release of hostages."

The US official will further talk about post-war plans while underlining that more humanitarian assistance must be delivered to people in Gaza.
