China-state affiliated broadcaster CCTV reported on Tuesday that the country's military conducted live ammunition training in the South China Sea that lasted for three consecutive days.
The report comes hours after Taiwan stated that it will refuse China's "one country, two systems" plan. Earlier this month, China performed military drills around Taiwan, following United States House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi's high-profile visit to the island. The exercises were "successfully completed" on Wednesday after China sent 14 vessels and 66 aircraft near the self-ruling island on one occasion.
