CNN's poll finds majority of viewers think Trump won debate

According to CNN's flash poll, 67% of registered voters who watched the presidential debate between United States President Joe Biden and former US President Donald Trump consider Trump to be the winner.

Prior to the debate, 55% of the same group expected Trump to perform better than Biden. The poll's results reflect the opinions of voters who tuned in for the debate, 57% of whom expressed that they have no real confidence in Biden's ability to lead the country, with 44% saying that they have no real confidence in Trump's ability to do so after the debate. Additionally, 36% of debate watchers said that they have a lot of confidence in Trump's leadership, while 14% said the same of Biden.

The poll was conducted with 565 registered US voters who said they watched the debate Thursday night.
