Sir Keir Starmer's Labour Party is set to win Britain's parliamentary election in a landslide victory with a majority of 170, according to the exit poll by Ipsos UK for Sky News, the BBC and ITV News.
If the forecast is correct, it means Starmer will become Britain's 58th prime minister with 410 Labour Members of Parliament (MPs), while the Conservative Party is predicted to face what might be its worst-ever result, slumping to 131 MPs. The Liberal Democrats are projected to come in third with 61 MPs, while the Scottish National Party (SNP) will obtain 10 seats. Reform UK is predicted to get 13 MPs, with the party's leader, Nigel Farage, set to become an MP in Clacton.
The Green Party of England and Wales is predicted to get two and Plaid Cymru is set to get four MPs. Others are expected to get 19 seats.
