United Kingdom Foreign Secretary Liz Truss told her counterparts from the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan that G7 must show unity against "global aggressors."

"We need to defend ourselves against the growing threats from hostile actors," Truss said at the G7 meeting in Liverpool. She added that the G7 should jointly respond to Russia's "malign behavior," as well as tensions regarding China and Iran.

A day earlier, Truss met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the two agreed that the buildup of Russian troops on Ukraine's border causes "deep concern."
