Israel's Cabinet intends to postpone its vote on the hostage-ceasefire agreement with Hamas until Saturday evening, local broadcaster Channel 12 reported on Thursday. As a result, the agreement's implementation might not commence until Monday.
The report indicates that ministers are expected to convene as previously planned tomorrow to deliberate on the deal; however, discussions will extend into Saturday night. The agreement is slated to become active on Sunday at 12:15 pm local time, with the release of the first three hostages anticipated shortly thereafter.
Concurrently, Israeli Interior Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir (pictured) declared his intention to resign from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's administration if the ceasefire deal proceeds. "If the war resumes, we will return," he further stated.
