The first Ukrainian soldiers arrived in Germany for their training on the Panzerhaubitze 2000, the main weapon system of the artillery troop of the German Army, the German Press Agency (dpa) reported on Wednesday citing government sources.

Germany and the Netherlands will jointly deliver 12 self-propelled howitzers to the Ukrainian army, which will help soldiers deliver significant strikes at longer distances.

As every Panzerhaubitzen 2000 will be operated by five soldiers, about 60 soldiers will take part in the training on how to drive it, shoot it and fix it. Depending on the expertise of each soldier, the training should last up to 40 days.
