United States Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (pictured) said that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) report did not confirm sexual assault accusations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, the Hill reported on Thursday. The Senate received the report earlier today and Grassley stated that it does not contain anything that the Judiciary Committee "didn't already know."
"These uncorroborated accusations have been unequivocally and repeatedly rejected by Judge Kavanaugh, and neither the Judiciary Committee nor the FBI could locate any third parties who can attest to any of the allegations. There’s also no contemporaneous evidence," he pointed out.
Earlier today, President Donald Trump stressed in a tweet that the accusations brought up by Christine Blasey Ford and two other women against Kavanaugh still were not backed by any evidence.
