The United States House of Representatives voted 222-208 to hold former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in criminal contempt of Congress for failing to cooperate with the House committee handling the Capitol riot probe.
The vote comes a day after the panel recommended Meadows for contempt over his refusal to testify before the committee.
Having been adopted by the House, the resolution now heads to the Justice Department for consideration of charges.
