Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi (pictured) warned on Tuesday that the "illegitimate" presence of the United States army in Syria destabilizes the country. The remarks of the Iranian President come as part of a trilateral meeting along with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Raisi also remarked that the US is a disruptive element, not only for Syria but also for the entire region. However, he also added that he sees a political solution for the crisis in that country, stressing that its future should be decided only by its people.
Erdogan, on his side, added that the significant benefit for Syria will be to "get rid" of the Kurdish militia, while Putin stated that "in many ways," the destabilization of the area "is facilitated by the destructive line of Western states led by the United States."
