Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that his country is set to have talks with the United States, but said that they would be "indirect," as opposed to US President Donald Trump's surprise announcement of "direct" discussions.
"Iran and the United States will meet in Oman on Saturday for indirect high-level talks," Araghchi wrote on X. Trump warned on Monday that if Saturday's talks on Tehran's nuclear program fail, Iran would find itself in "great danger."
"It is as much an opportunity as it is a test. The ball is in America's court," Araghchi said of the upcoming discussions.
