World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus (pictured) disclosed on Monday that the Israeli military requested the agency to remove all of its medical supplies from two warehouses in the southern Gaza Strip within the next 24 hours "as ground operations will put them beyond use."

"We appeal to #Israel to withdraw the order, and take every possible measure to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure, including hospitals and humanitarian facilities," the WHO chief said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Previously, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned that the fate of Hamas in the southern part of the enclave could be "worse" than that of those in northern Gaza, confirming that the Israeli military has pushed into the southern part of the Strip.
