The Israeli government confirmed on Friday that Mossad chief David Barnea returned from the meeting with the mediators in Doha, stressing that there are still differences between the parties to close a definitive agreement.
"It was determined that next week a team will leave to continue the negotiations. It will be emphasized that there are still gaps between the parties," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office posted on X.
The new round of negotiations on hostage and ceasefire deals with Hamas is critical amid ongoing clashes between the Israeli army and the Hezbollah militia on the border with Lebanon.
