Japan seeks relief from US steel and aluminum tariffs

Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Yoji Muto (pictured) said Wednesday that the country has asked the United States to exempt it from steel and aluminum tariffs.

Trump previously stated there would be "no exemptions, no exceptions" to the tariffs, insisting they are necessary to counter unfair trade practices.
