Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday that Kiev did not send any proposals on arranging a New Year's ceasefire, adding that "such a topic is not on the agenda."
Meanwhile, Peskov commented that the Russian troops would legitimately target the United States Patriot missile defense systems, should Washington send the aforementioned equipment to Kiev.
Nevertheless, he cautioned that these statements shouldn't be commented on yet before anything is officially confirmed by relevant authorities as "these are all media reports," and nowadays such reports might prove to be "an unreliable thing."
