Le Maire: Digital tax plans remain despite US threat

No plans on digital tax will be changed because of threats from the United States, French Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said on Friday.

The minister's comments come ahead of talks with US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer which are set to take place later in the day.

Earlier, the Lighthizer threatened to impose tariffs on France if it starting imposing digital tax on US companies. The tariffs could be announced by the end of the day.
