Maersk down 5% on Baltimore bridge fall link

Class B shares of shipping giant A.P. Moller-Maersk fell over 5% on the OMX Nordic exchange after the company confirmed it had chartered the vessel involved in the collision with the Baltimore bridge.

"We are horrified by what has happened in Baltimore, and our thoughts are with all of those affected. We can confirm that the container vessel 'DALI,' operated by charter vessel company Synergy Group, is time chartered by Maersk and is carrying Maersk customers' cargo," the Danish cargo enterprise said in a statement.

The company's Class B stock dropped 5.73% to sell at 8,582.00 Danish kroner at 1:02 pm CET. At the same time, its Class A shares were also down 3.70% to 8,595.00 Danish kroner apiece.
