Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif emphasized on Sunday that the late Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Qassem Soleimani was "cowardly assassinated" by United States President Donald Trump.
In addition, Iran's top diplomat called Trump "the terrorist-in-chief" for killing Soleimani, the "enemy number one of extremist terrorists."
"As our region solemnly commemorates [Soleimani's] one year passing, a reminder that the only beneficiary of his murder is Daesh (ISIS), which has only increased its activity since," Zarif wrote on Twitter.
