Lionel Messi will leave Paris Saint-Germain FC (PSG) this summer after his two-year contract expires, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on Wednesday.
Writing on social media, Romano said that, according to his "behind the scene" sources, the Argentine superstar's father Jorge is "understood" to have "communicated the decision to PSG already one month ago due to the project."
Earlier this week, PSG suspended Messi for two weeks over his unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia, an engagement he undertook as a tourism ambassador for that country.
