North Korea pledged to immediately reinstate all military measures that were previously halted under the inter-Korean military deal after South Korea partially suspended the pact following Pyongyang's military spy satellite launch, Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported citing North's defense ministry.
"Those of the 'ROK' will be held wholly accountable in case irretrievable clash breaks out between the north and the south," the ministry said, adding that it will "never be bound" by the military agreement again.
Previously, the media wrote with reference to the North Korean defense ministry's statement that South Korea will have to "pay a harsh price" after deciding to partially halt the 2018 military accord, stressing that it will deploy "more powerful" armed forces and military equipment along the Military Demarcation Line.
