Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked United States Donald Trump for an extension of his country's military withdrawal at five points on the border with Lebanon, Channel 12 reported on Monday.

Netanyahu allegedly insisted that Lebanon is not doing enough to stop Hezbollah from regrouping, which is why the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) must remain vigilant and near the border.

At the moment, Israel is required to leave Lebanon in eight days.
