Norway to donate anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine

The Norwegian government announced on Thursday it decided to give Ukraine IRIS-T anti-aircraft missiles and demining equipment to help Kiev amid its war with Russia.

"Norway will continue to support Ukraine's defense against Russia as long as necessary. Ukraine is in urgent need of more military and material support now. They have a great need for missiles and ammunition for air defense," Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store (pictured), who is visiting Ukraine, stated.

Oslo added that the IRIS-T missiles can be launched from launch units that Sweden decided to donate to Ukraine and added that it plans acquire new "corresponding" missiles for its armed forces.
